Scottish open-wheel racer Logan Hannah will return to the F4UAE Championship as part of the non-championship Trophy Round; a support event to the Formula 1® Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in three weeks time (November 28-December 1).

Hannah made her debut in the F4UAE Tatuus race car during the 2017/2018 season, testing with Xcel Motorsport and contesting Round 1 that year with Dream Racing; the same team she returns to for her first event back at Yas Marina Circuit.

Since last racing in F4UAE, the 18-year-old has gained seat time in Formula Ford 1600 in the UK, where this year in Scotland she claimed three podiums and a fourth-place in the outright championship. Most recently she raced in the Walter Hayes Trophy at Silverstone, making it to the final and placing 21st out of 107 drivers on her first full season.

A member of the Arden-linked Young Racing Drivers Academy for the past six years, the former Dubai resident has past experience in Ginetta Juniors plus extensive karting in Scotland and at the UAE’s Dubai Kartdrome. It was there that she competed against UAE racer Amna Al Qubaisi, who is also entered into the Trophy Round with her sister Hamda.

“I’m super excited to be heading back to Yas Marina Circuit for the F4UAE Trophy Round in a few weeks and even more so that I’m not going to be the only girl on the grid this time,” said Hannah. “I used to race Amna in karting in the UAE and it’s going to be really exciting to be back on track with her. It’s been so long!

“Last time I was racing in the UAE, it was my first proper car race and I had an awful lot to take in. But over the last two years I’ve been doing FF1600 in the UK and coming away with podiums and lots of close racing. To be given the chance to have another go in the F4 car on such a big weekend in front of F1 is a massive opportunity and one that I couldn’t say no to.”

The F4UAE Trophy Round will be run as a support to the Formula 1® Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Yas Marina Circuit, UAE, from November 28 to December 1, 2019. For more information head to
