REEMA JUFFALI RETURNS TO DRAGON RACING FOR F4UAE DEBUT
Dragon Racing has announced that Saudi Arabian driver Reema Juffali will compete in the 2019 F4UAE Championship Trophy Round which will support the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in two weeks’ time (November 28 – December 1).
Juffali started her racing career with the Dubai-based racing team in October 2018, competing in the TRD 86 Cup UAE. The talented Saudi driver scored seven class wins, four overall podium finishes and won the 45-minute feature race supporting the 2018 Gulf 12 Hours.
For 2019, she embarked on the British F4 Championship for Double-R Racing, finishing 13th outright and with 10 top-10 finishes. This week she participated in an official two-day test at Yas Marina Circuit in preparation for the Trophy Round.
“I’m very excited to be back here at Yas Marina Circuit where it all started for me a year ago. If you told me then that I’d be a part of an F1 support race I wouldn’t have believed you,” said Juffali.
Dragon Racing’s F4 team principal Brad Fincham welcomed Juffali back to the team: “We’re extremely happy that Reema will make her F4UAE debut with Dragon Racing. We’ve had lots of success together when she raced in TRD 86 Cup UAE and we’ve kept a close eye on her overseas racing in British F4. She’s always shown maturity in the way she has learnt her race craft and made the most of our driver coaching, and that will give her an advantage when she races at the Trophy Round in front of the F1 teams. It will be an exciting weekend for Reema to take this next step up in her racing career, and we know that all of our Dragon Racing customers, who will be at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, will be cheering her on as well.”
Dragon Racing won the 2017/2018 F4UAE Drivers Championship with Belgian racer Charles Weerts, as well as the Teams Champions title that same year. This will be the fourth consecutive season in which the team will participate in F4UAE.
