F4UAE Championship organisers today welcomed Motul as the official lubricant and oil supplier for the 2016/2017 motorsport season set to begin next month in Abu Dhabi.
With its strong culture of product excellence over its 160-year history, Motul has a vast repertoire of involvement with motorsport that includes partnering the internationally acclaimed 24 Hours of Le Mans, Moto GP and the 24 Hours of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
Supplied locally in Dubai thanks to Hally Auto, the official distributer of Motul in the UAE, today’s announcement builds on an already solid partnership between Motul and AUH Motorsports, promoter of the F4UAE Championship.
“We’ve chosen Motul as the official lubricant partner of the F4UAE Championship based on our previous experience using the product and also our solid relationship with the supplier,” said F4UAE Championship technical director, Craig Thompson. “The product meets all required specifications as used in F4 categories across Europe so it was a natural choice to ensure that the new F4UAE Championship cars powered by the Abarth engine also run the same product. AUH Motorsports has had a successful partnership using Motul in the Radical Middle East Cup so we were more than happy to extend the relationship with Motul and the team at Hally Auto for the new F4UAE season ahead. We look forward to working successfully with them at each of our events over the winter season.”
Motul’s Middle East distributer, Sukirt Sabarwhal, added: “To be selected as the lubricant of choice for the new F4UAE Championship is a great opportunity for Motul and I would like to personally thank AUH Motorsports for entrusting our product on the new Tatuus F4 cars,” said Sabarwhal. “Formula 4 already has grown into a very successful development category across the globe, so we are all very excited to have Motul be part of what is a new chapter in UAE motorsport. We aim to work closely with the teams and drivers so that we can help grow the Championship into a platform for future racing champions.”
The F4UAE Championship is the Middle East’s premier open-wheeler category and is aimed at young drivers from 15-years-old. Utilising the latest Tatuus chassis with the Abarth Turbo engine, the F4UAE Championship will be the only National Championship that qualifies for FIA Super Licence points, that is vital for drivers wishing to move up the ladder of motorsport and ultimately Formula 1.
The 2016/2017 F4UAE Championship will feature 18 races held over six events between Yas Marina Circuit and Dubai Autodrome, beginning with a Trophy Event and season launch at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi from October 28-29.
