Launched in February 2016 by Mohammed ben Sulayem and immediately certified by the FIA, the UAE Formula 4 Championship is a unique opportunity for local and foreign drivers to compete over the winter in a condensed, cost-effective format.
The international appeal of the UAE has contributed greatly to the steady growth of its motorsport facilities which have become the venues for an increasing number of international events over recent years.
In a still-developing market with bigger competition but with great new opportunities ahead, the F4 UAE deserves to be given a fresh and professional boost in order to not only keeps its important position as the first step on the single seater driver development ladder, but to also become one of the reference F4 championships while promoting local talents internationally. .
As the newly-appointed promoter of the F4 UAE, Top Speed will work on developing a bigger and more attractive single seater ecosystem in the region and bring the F4 UAE to a new FIA Grade 1 venue for the coming season. We look forward to welcoming you to the Middle East!

Single seater expert Matthijs Hoitink brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to FMCS. Based in Asia for almost a decade, Hoitink has been involved in managing various successful single seater championships such as Formula BMW Asia, Formula V6 Asia, Formula 2.0 and Formula Pilota China Series. He also brings with him experience garnered from his previous position as team manager for Petronas Mofaz Racing as well as managing the Petronas Formula Xperience program.Matthijs has a Bachelors degree in automotive engineering as well as an MBA from Nottingham University.As series manager, Hoitink is responsible for team and driver liaison and communication as well as the overall implementation of the regulations and general management of the entire series.

Technical Director Allan Bae is from Korea and majored in Automotive Engineering at the University of Ulsan (Korea). Bae has studied in Japan and worked in many technical functions in motorsport. This, combined with his sheer passion for automotive engineering and hands-on experience, has given him an in-depth understanding of almost any system on any car.Bae has been involved with the concept creation and development of the FMCS car in cooperation with VW Motorsport, which makes him the most knowledgeable individual about the FMCS car in the paddock. As Technical Director, Bae is responsible for the ongoing development of the FMCS car as well as to assist the teams on any technical matters.

Motorsport veteran Trevor Johnson is one of the most respected and experienced technical delegates in Motorsport. Johnson has been involved as scrutineer or technical delegate in many high profile racing series such as British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), A1GP, Formula BMW championships as well as Formula Pilota China Series.As technical delegate, Johnson is responsible for the eligibility and safety of all FMCS cars, ensuring that all cars comply with the technical regulations to guarantee a level playing field at reasonable budgets for all participating teams and drivers.

Race Director for multiple FIA world championships throughout the last 17 years, with a professional foundation based on a comprehensive knowledge of all areas of motorsport organization, from marshalling and circuit inspections to race direction, gleaned over a career spanning more than 40 years.

Chairman of the Stewards for the championship and with a career spanning more than 30 years, encompassing positions as Race Director, International Steward and Clerk of the Course for prestigious FIA and international championships across the globe.
